Who — Checkmate

Lori Miller founded Checkmate in 2017 to innovate against some of the biggest challenges facing the legal industry, including rising legal costs, unpredictable outcomes and misaligned investments of time and money.

Prior to Checkmate, Lori enjoyed a challenging and dynamic corporate career at Express Scripts, a Fortune 20 company. There, Lori demonstrated her ability to drive quality, scale and growth consistently across different divisions and different lines of business. She has a unique ability to assess complex situations and to align resources to build winning teams and operating mechanisms.

Through her experience, Lori believes “When routine, repetitive or inefficient work is optimized, subject matter experts are able to focus their expertise and attention on things that really matter and generate the greatest positive impact.” Checkmate seeks to deliver novel tools to litigators that will optimize their work and solve the industry’s greatest challenges.
